Chimney Sweeping
Why?
- Dirty chimneys can catch fire. As wood is burnt an emission product called creosote will start to form on the inside of the chimney flue. If this is left to build up to dangerous levels it can cause a chimney fire which can potentially lead to a house fire.
- Clear blockages. Over time a chimney flue will getting increasing restricted as soot and other debris builds up. Modern fires have been carefully designed to burn efficiently and cleanly and require regular cleaning. It is also not unusual for birds to build a nest in a chimney during the summer months.
